3 More Things Yu-Gi-Oh! Can Learn From Cardfight!! Vanguard!

1. Stop Censoring Cards

Konami annoys me by unnecessarily censoring cards. I understand Konami censoring cards containing nudity. That's respectable. However, most censoring is unnecessary. Is it a big deal for a female card like Dark Magician girl to have cleavage? Not really because most players are teenagers and adults. We are mature enough to deal with the subject matter. Sure we like the artwork! However, its not going to negatively change us. Konami is now taking it a step further. Gagaga Girl's legs and arms were covered with more clothing. That's just silly. How can a pair of arms and legs going to affect a player's thoughts to do something wrong? They won't negatively influence him or her at all. Konami please stop censoring cards! It's just looks silly!

Bushiroad normally does not censor Cardfight!! Vanguard cards. but there are a few censored cards in Korea, China, and Singapore for cultural reasons. It would be very unnecessary to do so. Again the male players are going to like the nice artwork. However, we are still focused on the game play. If the card is very good then most players are going to play it regardless of the artwork.

2. Make Every Card Useful

I love buying Cardfight!! Vanguard booster packs because in every pack I will get five usable cards. Every card in Cardfight!! Vanguard is playable. Sure some cards are better than others. However, every card in Cardfight!! Vanguard is very useful. There is not a single card that is totally useless.

However, the same cannot be said for Yu-Gi-Oh!. There are many terrible and utterly useless cards in Yu-Gi-Oh!. What is so insulting is that many rare cards are very bad cards. For example, Perfectly Ultimate Great Moth is one of the most unplayable cards in the game. You have to wait six turns un-interrupted to summon Perfectly Climate Great Moth by tributing Petit Moth equipped with Cocoon of Evolution.

3. The Anime Should Use The Real Rules and Card Effects

You can't learn how to play Yu-Gi-Oh! by watching the anime series. The anime series makes up crazy and overpowered abilities. The life points are so incredibly low. 4.000 life points are terrible! There would be more one turn kills if the real rules only gave us 4,000 life points. On the other hand what I really love about the Cardfight!! Vanguard anime is that the anime uses the game's real rules. You can actually learn how to play the game by watching the anime. In my opinion watching the anime is the best way to learn the basics and each clan's strategy. That's how I learned how to play the game and saw how fun it is to play!

Furthermore, I would like for Konami to make future Yu-Gi-Oh! series use the game's real rules. It's a little too late for Konami to incorporate this idea into Zexal. The anime would be more fun to watch and useful for players. There could be realistic game play scenarios. Players can learn real game tactics.

I hope you guys and gals enjoyed what Yu-Gi-Oh! can learn from Cardfight!! Vanguard!

Card Discussion: Blizzard Princess

You can Tribute Summon this card in face-up Attack Position by Tributing 1 Spellcaster-Type monster. After this card was Normal Summoned, your opponent cannot activate Spell/Trap Cards for the rest of that turn

Blizzard Princess is one of my favorite cards. She's very easy to summon which makes her a very attractive card for Spellcaster decks. She has a very respectable 2,800 attack. Blizzard Princess works very well with many Spellbook spell cards. The Spellbook of Power will given her an additional 1,000 attack power thus making her attack 3,800 for the turn. That's more than enough attack power to destroy most monsters.

Furthermore, Blizzard Princess is a level eight monster. She can be used to quickly summon ritual monsters and high level synchro monsters. For example you active Black Magic Ritual to special summon The Magician of Black Chaos. You used Blizzard Princess as the only tribute because she and The Magician of Black Chaos are level eight monsters. Next you can activate Monster Reborn to special summon Blizzard Princess from the graveyard!

Blizzard Princess has a wicked combo with High Priestess of Prophecy. First you special summon High Priestess of Prophecy by using her effect. Next, you tribute High Priestess of Prophecy to summon Blizzard Princess. Finally you can either use Monster Reborn or Spellbook of Life to special summon the High Priestess of Prophecy you just tributed. This tactic can easily be done as soon as your first turn with the right hand. Secondly, another important feature of this combo is Blizzard Princess's effect. It saves you from using a Spellbook of Wisdom. Blizzard Princess's successful summoning prevents your opponent from playing spell and trap cards for the remainder of that turn. Now you have two high level Spellcasters with full protection!

Finally, her only flaw is that she is not searchable in spellcaster decks. Temperance of Prophecy can only special summon Dark and Light monsters. In order to play Blizzard Princess, you must normally draw her. Other then that she doesn't have any major setbacks.

If you're looking for an awesome spellcaster to add to your deck then look no further! Blizzard Princess is your girl!

Unit of The Week: Bloody Calf

My legs are beautiful, aren't they?

[AUTO]:[Counter Blast (2)] When this unit is placed on (VC) or (RC), if you have a «Dark Irregulars» vanguard, you may pay the cost. If you do, choose one of your opponent's grade 1 or less rear-guards, and retire it.

Bloody Calf is a deadly Deark Irregular. She isn't too kindly towards Grade 1 and Grade 0 units. Her skill may not appear to be great, but it can be very useful against powerful boosting units. Her specialty  is to make your opponent's formation weaker. She can retire powerful boosting units such as Charjal and Wingal.

Unit of The Week: Knight of Friendship, Kay

There is no shadow without light. The converse is also true. The knights shall again unite as one.

[AUTO](RC):When this unit attacks, if you have a vanguard with "Blaster" in its card name, this unit gets [Power]+3000 until end of that battle.

As usual I picked a card that I pulled this week! Knight of Friendship, Kay can be a useful card once you have a grade 2 or 3 with Blaster in its name. Due to his skill he is best suited Blaster themed decks. Don't make the same misplay that Aichi did against Ren. Aichi played this card during his first turn, and a good player like Ren retired it during his following turn.

The 10 Sexiest Cardfight!! Vanguard Cards!

Cardfight!! Vanguard has amazing artwork! In my opinion it is the best card game in terms of artwork. The female cards have exceptional artwork as you can see with the number one card on this list Bewitching Officer, Lady Butterfly. Here are my top 10 sexiest Cardfight!! Vanguard cards!

No. 1 Bewitching Officer, Lady Butterfly

I love this card's artwork. Bewitching Officer, Lady Butterfly is the only beautiful Megacolony unit. It's the definition of perfection!

No. 2 Circular Saw, Kiriel

This is one of the first cards I've ever pulled! Circular Saw, Kiriel has a special place in my rare card binder.

No.3 Cheer Girl, Tiara

Seriously, who doesn't like a hot cheerleader?

No. 4 Cheer Girl, Marilyn

Go Team! Marilyn is by far one of the cutest cheerleaders on the planet Cray!

No.5 Player of the Holy Bow, Viviane

Every Gold Paladin deck needs some eye candy.

No. 6 High Dog Breeder, Akane

Akane is the cutest  Royal Paladin unit! Her cuteness earned her two spots in my Royal Paladin Deck

No. 7 Doctor Rouge

When did doctors become pirates? The undead pirates need someone to heal them!

No. 8 Skull Witch, Nemain

Even some bad girls can be very hot! Too bad her power is so terrible.

No. 9 Holy Zone, Penemue

Penemue is one of Cray's best nurses!

No. 10 Dragon Dancer, Monica

Monica is one of the very few female Kagero units.

This Week's Locals Report!

This week's amazing pulls!
This week's action at locals couldn't have been better because I pulled an awesome Blaster Dark! Sure he isn't the best card in the world, but he is still an awesome card to pull! More surprisingly I actually played Yu-Gi-Oh!. Yu-Gi-Oh! players rarely come to my locals.

Surprisingly one of the guys at my locals  noticed that I have Yu-Gi-Oh! cards and asked for an awesome duel! I lose the match 2 games to 1! However, the first lose was completely my fault. The guy I was playing against used Imperial Order, and I didn't realized that the card is banned. My deck was completely shut down in the first game by not realizing that simple fact. I had a Temperance of Prophecy and a Spellbooks of Secrets in my opening hand to quickly summon the High Priestess of Prophecy with. There is not much to say about the second game. I took full advantage of Black Luster Solider: Envoy of The Beginning's effect. He was the key to my victory! I lose the third game because I only drew spell cards.

Matriarchy Spellcaster Beat Down Deck List! The Matriarchy Spellcaster deck focuses on using female spellcasters. It's a fun female themed deck with a few male cards. The deck isn't completed.  I need one more High Priestess of Prophecy to add to the deck, and I will remove one of my Dark Magicians. I will go into further details about the deck once it is completed.

Next up my Nova Grapplers went back into action! This time I battled a Dragonic Overlord The End player!   I won the match 2 games to 1! My Nova Grapplers deck isn't up to standard. However, I did buy a few singles to help with some deck problems. I added another Brutal Jack and Mr. Invincible. Despite not being up to standard the deck has won many games. Having six stand triggers is working very well. I think I will replace the two draw triggers with two more stand triggers or two more critical triggers. I'm not getting the draw triggers during my drive trigger checks. The benefit would be that both triggers would give me more shield power than the draw triggers. Stand and critical triggers would put more pressure on my opponent to use more cards to guard with.

After a short break my Royal Paladins entered the battlefield! I added my new Blaster Dark just for fun! All
I need now is a Majesty Lord Blaster! The deck has been very constant so far. I easily won this match 3 games to none! This was a good opportunity to test out new tactics. I was riding on King of Knights, Alfred to lead me to victory! In the second game I used his skill to superior call Wingal from the deck to boost my rear guard Blaster Blade. This gave Blaster Blade a constant 19,000 attack to force my opponent to use more cards to guard with or to take the damage. Although I was never able to use Wingal Brave's skill. My opponent always successfully guard against the Blaster Blade boosted by Wingal Brave.

Unit of The Week: Ultimate Lifeform, Cosmo Lord

The universe shall fuel my strength! Cosmo Drain!!

[ACT](VC):[Choose one of your «Nova Grappler» rear-guards, and [Rest] it] This unit gets [Power]+3000 until end of turn.

This week's Unit of The Week is none other then Ultimate Lifeform, Cosmo Lord! I pulled him a few days ago from a booster pack! His skill is very useful when giving him an additional 3,000 power. You can set up many combos with his skill. For example you can rest a Battleraizer in back row of the same column as Hi-powered Raizer Custom, and Hi-powered Raizer Custom will still receive the additional 8,000 power from his skill because Battleraize is still in the same column. .
